“The LORD doesn’t fail,” the prophet Zephaniah says, “but the unjust know no shame” (Zephaniah 3:5 WEB). From the beginning books of the Bible to Revelation, the writers recognized their need for a powerful God to effectively deal with the injustice in the world.

“Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away… The LORD saw it and it displeased Him that there was no justice,” Isaiah says (Isaiah 59:14-15 WEB).

Praise God for His infinite mercy! He sent Jesus, who not only brings us salvation (Isaiah 59:16), but who also promises to repay the unjust for what they have done (Isaiah 59:18).

Injustice is a form of unrighteousness

Leviticus 19:15

You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.
